  CARBOCOMP®
is a unique versatile, user friendly, microprocessor based MINILAB on the foundry shop floor. Using the principle of thermal analysis the CARBOCOMP® enables the shop floor metallurgist to analyze the prime constituents of the molten metal PRIOR to pouring and is thus a versatile tool in quality control.

  • Linearised Temperature measurement upto 1º C accuracy.

  • Open thermocouple detection.

  • Self-test features to check the system every time after reset.

  • 'Calibrate' mode aids easy field calibration.

  • Automatic detection of liquidus arrest and solidus arrest points.

  • Separate 7 segments display for indication result message to show the extent of success for each measurement.

  • Front Panel selector switch for selection of parameters.

  • Facility to pre-set the slope factor for Silicon to suit different grades of Cast irons.

  • Keyboard facility for alloying elements correction factors to suit different grades of steels.

  • 16 to 20 digit print-out facility can be provided optionally.

  • Extremely simple to operate : Connect the instrument to mains supply, plug in FYKAYS' Thermal Analysis Cups and pour the metal in. The CARBOCOMP® does the rest of the work and gives all the results desired.

Accuracy

Temperature-better than +/- 1º C + 1 count: thermal analysis results better than +/- 0.025 % in non-ferrous metals, +/- 0.05% in Cast Irons and +/- 0.025% in Steels.
